Drew Horowitz has a vast range of experiences in working with addiction and mental health. He has gained a wealth of knowledge through his own recovery, extensive training, and a master’s level education from the Hazelden Graduate School of Addiction Studies. Drew did his undergraduate degree at Hofstra University, a private liberal arts school in Long Island, NY, where he focused on psychology and human development.
Drew has several years of professional experience in the addiction and mental health field. He has worked extensively within a multitude of populations providing consultation, intervention, mentorship, coaching, and counseling. In this capacity, Drew performed nationwide interventions, supported families in times of crisis and recovery, transported vulnerable adults and adolescents across the country and work individually with people recovering from mental health and substance abuse disorders.
Most of Drew’s experience was gained during his time as a community mental health clinician. For nearly 5 years, Drew worked in the community with individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance abuse disorders. In this role, Drew provided community-based crisis interventions, facilitated group counseling sessions and provided intensive case management services. In addition, Drew supported individuals with vocational needs, relapse prevention & independent living skills. Prior to that, Drew spent 1-year coaching and counseling teenage boys with severe mental health disorders. In this process, Drew provided behavioral interventions and applied person-centered techniques to help young men meet their full potential.
Drew’s broad-based experiences enable him to effectively treat adolescents, young adults and middle-aged individuals with mental health and substance abuse disorders. Currently, Drew has a strong desire to work with young men, in the community, to support them in finding recovery. Drew is licensed as a drug and alcohol counselor, certified as an addiction specialist, certified as a psychiatric rehabilitation counselor and trained as a certified intervention professional.

Aaron Horowitz brings a unique and dynamic component to the team at Drew Horowitz & associates. Growing up as the youngest of four brothers, Aaron learned how to integrate into challenging settings while advocating for his needs. Raised in a setting with addiction and mental health, Aaron quickly learned the devastating effects of untreated substance use. Having watched family members struggle to abstain, Aaron has first-hand experience of how addiction impacts families. Aaron brings this experience to his clients by helping them gain a sense of their surrounding and developing their assertiveness in recovery.
Prior to working at Drew Horowitz & Associates, Aaron held a variety of positions such as teaching English to students in Thailand, acting as a summer camp counselor for kids with disabilities, and most recently working at a New York based hedge fund. Aaron holds a bachelors degree from Syracuse University. While attending Syracuse, Aaron earned credits as a teaching assistant for the Child and Family Studies department.
One of Aaron’s greatest accomplishments is his Massachusetts state wrestling title, where he was team captain and held a nearly undefeated season. Aaron’s impressive high school sports records and vast employment history positions him as an ideal candidate to assist young adults with recovery from addiction and mental health disorders.
